Proof
Proof was a political drama starring Finbar Lynch and Orla Brady that originally aired on RTE One. The first series of four episodes aired in 2004 and centred on a corrupt Taoiseach, Eastern European sex slaves and the Dublin underworld. The series featured investigations into why the bodies of 23 illegal immigrants were found in a freight container, links between a drug dealer's death and an apparent suicide, and the handover of a computer disk at a clandestine meeting. The first series was such a ratings success on RTE that a second series of four episodes was broadcast the following year. In series two, the deaths of two scientists working for a pharmaceutical company are investigated and a murder leads to evidence of racial intimidation against an immigrant community. The first series was broadcast on BBC3 and BBC Scotland in the UK and both series have been shown on STV.
