"Prisoners of War" is an Israeli drama series (otherwise known as "Hatufim"). It was written and directed by Gideon Raff and formed the inspiration for hit US series Homeland. The story follows three IDF reservists who are captured during active service behind enemy lines in Lebanon. It chronicles their time in captivity and their attempts to reintegrate into society 17 years later. It premiered on Sky Arts 1 in May 2012.
