"Origins of Us" sees anatomist Dr Alice Roberts exploring how the human body reveals the story of mankind's evolution. In the first episode, Alice focuses on bones to uncover clues in ankles, waists and necks that help to explain how early man was forced to survive on the open plain by walking and running. She puts her own body to the test by running in high temperatures to demonstrate how the body is designed for long-distance running. The three-part series premiered on BBC Two in October 2011.
