Eight years ago, an independent spy agency called Citadel with a remit to uphold the safety of all people was betrayed by one of its own. Elite Citadel agents Mason Kane (Richard Madden) and Nadia Sinh (Priyanka Chopra Jonas) barely survived with their lives and their memories were wiped. Out of the blue, former Citadel member Bernard Orlick (Stanley Tucci) tracks down Mason and reactivates him to neutralise the threat posed by a powerful syndicate known as Manticore. Mason reunites with his former partner Nadia and they slowly piece together splintered memories of the past.
