Upon waking, Alex finds herself working with "Life on Mars" characters DCI Gene Hunt (Philip Glenister), DS Ray Carling (Dean Andrews) and DC Chris Skelton (Marshall Lancaster). During the series, Chris enters into a relationship with fellow officer Sharon Granger (Montserrat Lombard).
