We reckon the producers got mixed up – we want them in IREland, not ICEland…
The last update fans received from GoT creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss was that the next season of the HBO series will see some delays. This is because it will be set in winter and therefore shooting needs to start later in the year.
The latest news states the Winterfell set is packing up and relocating to Iceland, as reported by Icelandic website Visír.
The website reports that reps from the cable network were meeting locals to discuss production.
It also reports that the scenes filmed there will follow “six major characters”.
Fan page Watchers on the Wall predicts that Jon Snow, Sansa Stark, Littlefinger, Tormund, and Davos are the most likely candidates here given all five were at Winterfell during the season 6 finale.
Shooting in Iceland for season seven will begin in January 2017.
