Who Wants To Be A Millionaire returned to TV screens last night with noted thrower of shapes and ex-Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson in the seat formerly occupied by Chris Tarrant.
The ratings have yet to arrive for the the episode, but judging by Twitter's reaction, it seems like a safe bet that Clarkson did the job reasonably well whilst the contestants left a lot to be desired. Interestingly, a new lifeline added to the show is Ask The Host which sees contestants pinging a question over to Clarkson to get his take on it.
Clarkson was at pains to point out that he doesn't see the questions beforehand and he has no earpiece telling him what's what either. Here's how it went down last night.
And just to give you an idea of how it all went down, here's a smattering of tweets during the show.

The internet is going to make Who Wants to be a Millionnaire much easier.

I'd like to ask the host if his little finger's ever recovered from being broken when he punched my head.#whowantstobeamillionaire @JeremyClarkson
