Your Sunday evening is going to be taken over by some good old-fashioned matchmaking from this week onward as the first ever Irish episode of Blind Date makes its debut on TV3.
Hosted by Al Porter, it will follow the same format as Cilla Black's iconic original show and sees three singletons trying to impress a potential suitor from behind a screen. They'll need to answer just three questions (the more innuendo the better) before one of them is picked to go on a date that could be anywhere from Portlaoise to Portugal. They then come back the following week and say how they got on.
Kicking things off this week, we will meet 34-year-old pre-school teacher Dionne from Cork who will be looking to find her match amongst three hopeful lads. Her suitors are Gary O’Farrell (30), a pipe fitter from Kilkenny, Keith Tougher (32) the lead singer in a Prodigy tribute band and personal trainer David Mulligan (34) from Dublin.
Take a look below:
Also on the show on Sunday, we'll meet 6’5” personal trainer Gary from Tallaght who will be hearing answers from Niamh (22) from Leixlip - a make-up artist who likes to Irish dance, Jennifer Greally (24) from Tara in Meath who has entered a number of beauty pagents in her time, and Ciara Noone (22) from Blanchardstown - a feisty lady who doesn’t mince her words apparently.
Catch it all on TV3 this Sunday at 9pm.
