For those that thought they were never more going to see the original Top Gear trio on our screens again, you can rest assured that the BBC have announced that they are still planning on showing the rest of series 22 in an extended episode.
The episode will feature a pair of previously unseen films as well as studio links from Richard and James. The first film sees the three lads living the lifestyle of traditional classic car buffs, acquiring a Fiat 124 Spyder, Peugeot 304 Cabriolet and MGB GT before setting off an adventure incorporating brown beer, breakdowns (inevitably) and attending a car show where everything goes wrong.
The second film, see the trio become ‘lifestyle leisure enthusiasts' with the help of some very ratty old 4x4s, which climaxes with a race that has a terrifying penalty for the person who loses.
This one-off show will air on BBC Two on a date soon to be confirmed. In the meantime, you can check out the trailer for the episode below...
