If this video does one thing and one thing only, it'll make you miss that theme tune so much that you'll end up going and listening to the soundtrack for the rest of the day. But it's also full of juicy breakdowns of how the world of Westeros is actually created onscreen. It's not all boobs and dragons you know.
Montreal-based visual effects artists Rodeo FX are just one of the teams that handle the visual effects of Game of Thrones who won the 2014 Emmy Award for Outstanding Special and Visual Effects and just like their counterparts in Mackevision, created this montage of their work on season 4 of the show.
This may shatter some of the illusion of Game of Thrones, but we've got a whole 8 or 9 months to go before it returns to our screens so that's plenty of time for the fantasy to rebuild itself and the green screens and faux-battlements to recede into the depths of your memory.
