If you happened to be watching Channel 4 last night, you might have caught a glimpse of some very strange, almost disturbing looking idents and adverts.
The idents, one of which included a person with a face full of jewels dancing in a cave, went out last night as part of Channel 4's new brand identity launch. Not only that, there's a familiar name behind said idents and adverts.
Jonathan Glazer, the visual genius behind 2013's sci-fi horror Under The Skin and 2000's crime thriller Sexy Beast, put together the idents for Channel 4.
As for an exact meaning behind them, we've no idea. How you can go from weird jewels, to people collecting them to an electron image of a weird creature collecting tinier jewels to a TV channel is well beyond us.
It all looks really pretty, though, so that's something.
Here's the idents in question. If you know what it's all about, send your answers on a postcard to us or let us know in the comments.
