You've got to respect Elijah Woods' choice of projects in recent years. The man is not afraid to take chances.
He starred in four seasons of Wilfred which saw him play a depressed man who inexplicably is the only one who can see his neighbor's dog as a full grown man in a dog suit. Now he's the biggest name in BBC America's adaptation of Douglas Adams' Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency.
Wood plays Todd, who's the sidekick to the titular British detective portrayed here by Penny Dreadful's Samuel Barnett. The series is written and produced by Max Landis and judging by this first trailer his imaginative style could be the perfect match for Adams' source novels.
The first season of eight episodes will debut in the US on October 22nd.
