Imagine an alternate universe where Homer Simpson and the couch that he loves were two crime-stopping detectives in a 1980s Miami-styled Springfield battling an evil mob boss version of Ned Flanders. Sounds insane right? Well apparently now because it's the intro to the newest episode of 'The Simpsons' which is set to air in the US this Sunday.
We don't know who came up with it but we think whoever did deserves a raise because it's one of the best things the show has done in a long time, if disconcerting to see Springfield's finest stretched into semi-human figures.
keep your eyes peeled for the blink-and-you'll-miss-it '80s versions of Barney, Moe, Patty, Selma and Sideshow Bob as well as Mr. Burns and Smithers as Doc and Marty from 'Back To The Future' as well as an excellent Max Power reference.
