The latest trailer for The Mist has everything you'd expect from a Stephen King horror adaptation.
Dread, horror and plenty of jump scares.
In case you're not familiar with King's original 1980 novella, the story takes place in a small town where a mysterious mist has descended. The mist contains a whole host of monster threats but the biggest threat of all may come from the people themselves, in particular those who believe that judgement day has come.
Frank Darabont adapted the story for the big screen in 2007's criminally underrated The Mist. The series looks to be a re-imagining of King's novella rather than a remake of the film.
The series begins in the US on June 22nd. No word yet on if it will be picked up by a network on this side of the Atlantic.
