Look no further, although others have tried, this is in fact the best impression you will find of the aloof Detective Rust Cohle. The True Detective series which stars McConaughey finished up it's first season in the States last week (don't worry, no spoilers), and the actors performance in it has received much critical acclaim. And it's true, McConaughey does play the role extremely well, all be it his character is a little... cryptic, you might say.
The following spoof video shows the actor being interrogated by the Academy as to why he played such one dimensional roles in all these completely forgettable movies down the years. His answers are actually hilariously convincing - I'm pretty sure a falcon MUST have swooped down from the sky to tell him the secret of artistic success.
