Nobody could have predicted how popular a TV show about a load of geeks sitting in an apartment could have become, but whatever reason there is behind it, The Big Bang Theory has undoubtedly become one of the most successful sitcoms of all time.

And now at last it's time for the wedding that fans have been waiting for since the pilot episode as the 'will they/won't they' couple that are Leonard and Penny finally tie the knot.

Actress Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting took to Instagram today to post a sneak pic of the ceremony, which airs next week in the season premiere on CBS.

She said; "We're back baby!!! Don't forget to tune into @bigbangtheory_cbstonight- I mean it when I say, I've waited for this moment since the pilot, nine years in the making!!
