Remember when Julia Louis-Dreyfus's Veep was an outrageous satirical look at America politics? Them were the days. Now it's almost a case of life imitating art with White House press secretary Sean Spicer's latest comments about Hitler saying "even Hitler didn't use chemical weapons".
Spicer was comparing the Nazi dictator to Syria’s Bashar al-Assad at a press event briefing at the White House, and said: "We didn’t use chemical weapons in World War II. You had someone as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons."
When asked to clarify the remarks, he stuttered through an explanation saying: "I think when you come to sarin gas, he was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing."
Eh, think Sean may went to dust off his history books on that one.
Spicer has since apologised for the remarks, but naturally the internet has been having a field day with it, with one YouTube user mixing the clip with scenes from HBO series Veep, and playing the closing credits over it as the show is known for doing. (A similar video was made a couple of weeks ago with Trump.)
Watch below, it's hilariously like something you'd see on Veep. Yep... JUST like something you'd see on Veep... *screams loudly into a pillow*.
