Marvel's Iron Fist didn't exactly connect with fans but perhaps Finn Jones' superhero will have better luck when teams with the rest of Marvel's smallscreen crime fighters. 

A new teaser has been released online for The Defenders, which will see Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist's Danny Rand team up for crossover series. While we knew that the series is expected to stream on Netflix at some stage this year, there was no definitive release date. Until now. 

As we're sure you noticed, the timecode for the camera that Jones made light work of destroying ended at 08:18:20:17. Which is of course August 18th, 2017. 

Also, if you enter the numbers from the top left hand corner of the screen, https://23.253.120.81, it will bring you to the website of the New York Bulletin Archive. A message at the bottom of the page reads: "Watch “Marvel’s The Defenders” All Episodes Streaming Only on Netflix August 18."

Sounds pretty definitive to us. Roll on August 18th.
