Netflix's Narcos has steadily been building a loyal following on the streaming service since it debuted in August 2015 on the streaming service. It follows the rise of notorious Columbian drug kingpin Pablo Escobar from the point of view of the DEA agents who took him down.

Those agents are Javier Pena and Steve Murphy, played by Pedro Pascal and Boyd Holbrook in the hit series, but the real life versions will be in Vicar Street on Wednesday, 14th December.

You can hear the story of how they took down Escobar from the horse's mouth, with the pair revealing information that does not appear in the Netflix series. Our own Mike Sheridan, Senior Editor of Entertainment.ie will be on interviewing duties, while there will also be a Q&A session with the audience afterwards.

Both men have led incredibly interesting lives, and since their time working in Columbia together, they have received multiple accolades for their work. Pena was awarded Colombia’s highest honour for his efforts, and received commendation awards from the DEA and the wider international community. He is regarded as an expert on the subject of the Medellin Cartel.

Murphy also received multiple honours and awards during his career, including ‘DEA Special Agent of the Year’ and the ‘Distinguished Service Cross’ from the Republic of Colombia.

Mark Jacobs, Director at Outset Agency said; "This event will give Narcos fans and those interested in Pablo Escobar the opportunity to hear first-hand information from the two men who were instrumental in his takedown, and provide what we are sure will be a very insightful and unique evening."

Tickets cost €33.50 (including booking fee) and are on sale from Ticketmaster, 9am this Friday 21st October.
