They've both been making waves in the cinema this year but we have a feeling that Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson will be making quite the splash on the small screen too when HBO's True Detective finally lands on the telly.
This brand new miniseries sees the lads attempting to solve a grisly murder throughout the course of 17 years, regularly flashing back and forth between the present day and the original investigation in 1995. We think it'll go down rather well, especially since this kind of drama is all the rage at the moment.
Sure, it's not Scandinavian (We all know they do it best now don't we?) but from what we've seen so far it does look fairly decent. And sure don't we all know RomCom king Matthew is at his finest when he's firing those dramatic cylinders?
Keep an eye out for this one after it debuts on HBO in January 2014.
