Netflix is soon rolling out the second of its Marvel TV series - the much anticipated Jessica Jones. It follows on from the popular Daredevil series which was released on the streaming service earlier in the year and followed the story of superhero Matt Murdock.
This time round, it will be actress Krysten Ritter in the superhero driving seat, who you may know from Veronica Mars as well as most recently 'Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23'.
The story picks up with Jessica Jones after she has hung up her superhero boots following a tragic accident and is now rebuilding her personal life and career as a private detective in Hell's Kitchen. However, her past is set to come back to haunt her in the form of mind controlling villain David Tenant.
From what we can see so far, it looks like Jessica Jones will be similar to Daredevil in its dark undertones, violence and general badassness. A sugary-sweet superhero tale this is not.
