Although you can't imagine it, there once was a time when Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders weren't all that tight.
In fact, if anything, they were quite the opposite and had absolutely zero chemistry when working together for the first time. As they both told it on last night's Graham Norton, both Saunders and Lumley - Patsy and Eddie - were incredibly wary of one another.
In fact, Lumley was pretty sure that Saunders hated her and begged her agent to get her out of the whole thing. Needless to say, she did the pilot episode and the rest is history.

It's actually quite tickling to know that the whole Eddie / Patsy thing has a bit of basis in reality when the two of them are together. As well as talking about their awkward first meeting, Lumley also went through some of her blunder years of modelling.
Also, genuinely had no idea Lumley was on Corrie.
