Victoria Smurfit has gone to the dark side and become one of fairy tales greatest villains - Miss Cruella De Vil. The actress has landed the role in the American ABC show 'Once Upon a Time' which is about a town full of people who were once fairytale characters at some point in their lives. At least that's what it was about initially anyways, it's taken a few twists and turns since then.

Smurfit will be following in the footsteps of fellow Irish stars Jamie Dornan and Sarah Greene who have also had roles on the show, which stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Jennifer Morrison. Smurfit appears in the season four finale promo below and is set to have a recurring role in the next season.

Smurfit has previously has roles in the likes of Dracula, The Mentalist, as well as movies The Beach and About a Boy, to name a few. She tweeted her excitement about landing the role earlier in the month saying; "Super excited about playing Cruella for such an iconic show as Once Upon A Time."
