The Irish ladies are just all over the chat shows in America this week, what with Sharon Horgan impressing both Ellen and Conan, and now Dublin born actress Caitriona Balfe representing our fair isle on The Today Show.

The actress was on to chat about the upcoming second season of her hugely popular show Outlander, which earned Balfe a Golden Globe nomination. She plays a World War II nurse who is transported through time to 18th-century Scotland where she finds herself falling for Highland warrior Jamie Fraser.

The second season is set to follow the pair to Paris where a brand new adventure begins. Caitriona gives a taster of what to expect in the interview below as well as talking about her co-star Sam Heughan's obsession with the fake pregnancy belly she wore for the show. Eh, right...
