We've gotta say, the peak-cap and sailor poloneck is the most James May thing we've ever seen.

The Top Gear co-presenter was contacted by press at his home in England and questioned on the situation regarding Clarkson's suspension and the future of the show.

It's a pretty skilful move by Captain Slow, we think. If Clarkson ends up getting sacked and more stuff is revealed, he's basically insulted him publicly and he's clear of him.

If Clarkson somehow miraculously survives, May took the high road and didn't really comment.

This might all seem to be very unrehearsed and uncoordinated, but you know damn well that this was worked out with PR strategist beforehand.

Take a look.

As it stands, Top Gear is off-air for the next three weeks with Clarkson's future hanging in the balance. What do you make of it all? Should Clarkson be sacked?
