After 25 seasons on the air it's no surprise to hear that The Simpsons has been suffering in the ratings and fallen out of favour with a fair few of its fans, but that doesn't mean that the show can't still pull some real gems out of the bag from time to time, particularly when directors like Guillermo del Toro get involved.
The man who brought us Pan's Labyrinth and Pacific Rim has teamed up with the gang at Simpson HQ and taken creative control of this year's Treehouse of Horror (yes, that's still going too - we're on XXIV now) couch gag. It's quite possibly the longest Simpsons couch gag of all time at 2 minutes and 45 seconds, and even we can't name all the horror films it pays homage to here in the office.
