No, no it doesn't. If there's one thing that Countdown still has over all of the young pretenders to its daytime TV throne(yes, we're looking at you, Pointless) it's the fact that every few months you'll find a rude word come up on the board.
Seeing Rachel Riley try to hide her laughter, while the contestants get sheepish and try to ignore it, well that's just good TV, and no amount of awkward exchanges between Alex and Richard can make up for that.
