American radio DJ and the voice of Shaggy from Scooby-Doo, Casey Kasem, has died at the age of 82. It follows a lengthy battle with dementia.
The radio personality's show, America's Top 40, was internationally syndicated and could even be heard on former pirate station Radio Nova. Kasem was also known as the voice of Shaggy in long-running cartoon series Scooby-Doo.
Kasem's death comes after his daughter had won a court battle against Kasem's wife. According to reports, Kasem's daughter, Kerri, had won a lawsuit to determine her father's medical care and won a court decision to restrict his food and fluids.
