Great news if we ever heard it, as Veep is surely one of the best American comedies running at the moment. Starring Julie Louis Dreyfus as Vice President Selina Meyer (yes, no spoilers), it's based on the British series The Thick of It although this fifth season will not see the return of The Thick of It's creator, Armando Iannucci.
Iannucci stepped down as showrunner for the White House series last week, but all is well, as he is to be replaced by Curb Your Enthusiasm's David Mandel.
Good news for Silicon Valley fans too, as HBO have also renewed that for another season.
HBO’s president of programming Michael Lomba; "Veep and Silicon Valley are terrific series', and I’m immensely proud that they will return to HBO next year. Along with Game of Thrones and Last Week Tonight With John Oliver, both of which have already been renewed for 2016, they give HBO a stellar Sunday night like no other."
