Glee had its fifth season premiere last in the US. By all accounts, the storyline hadn't caught up with Cory Monteith's passing however showrunners have said that it will feature in the forthcoming season. An entire episode, titled 'The Quarterback' is to be devoted to his character and the cast's reaction to it.
Creator Ryan Murphy posted a teaser image for the episode, while cast member Kevin McHale has said that one scene, in particular, from the episode is especially emotional. Fellow cast member Darren Criss described filming the episode as "poignant and hopefully very moving", while Jane Lynch called the tribute episode "beautiful."
The writers of the show have confirmed that Cory Monteith's character, Finn, will not die from a drugs overdose. Monteith died from mixed drug toxicity, including heroin and alcohol. He was 31.
