Tonight's Late Late Show is about as Late Late Show as you can get. There's a farmer talking about farming, a fellow RTE broadcaster - they're even wheeling out that one who talks to angels. No Linda Martin sadly, but give it time.
It's not all bad though, author Joseph O'Connor will be on to pay tribute to the brave coastguards of this country with his powerful poem ‘Rescue 116’ following the tragic crash of rescue helicopter 116 off the west coast recently.
As well as that, Ryan will be chatting to businessman Brian Lee, who co-founded salad bar Chopped, as well as fitness brand FIT Studios. Sure fair play to him.
The Irish broadcaster in question will be John Creedon who will be remembering the legendary Gerry Ryan, as the seventh anniversary of the late 2FM broadcaster's death approaches.
Viewers will also meet Patrick Shalvey who is about to welcome hundreds of people to his Cavan dairy farm as he plays host to RTÉ’s Big Week on the Farm.
Lorna Byrne, who has been on the show many times before, will be talking about her experiences with angels and chatting about her new book 'Angels at my Fingertips'. She will be talking to Ryan about how her books have been translated into 30 languages and have touched a chord all around the world. She may not be to everyone's taste but who are we to stop her from being bessies with some angels?
Also tonight, with Bus Éireann workers on strike, the Gardaí in turmoil and the Taoiseach refusing to name the date, some well-known names will be discussing the state of the nation.
Finally, viewers will meet 16-year-old singer Calum Heaslip who has managed to become a household name in Spain and has sung on a Disney soundtrack while his videos have racked up millions of views on YouTube. He’ll be chatting to Ryan about achieving international fame and his family in Ireland, as well as making his debut performance on Irish television. Yep, international fame, and yep, we also needed to google him.
Catch it all on RTE1 at 9.35pm.
