Love him or loathe him, Jack Whitehall's certainly made a name for himself in Channel 4's Fresh Meat, and now it looks as though himself, Joe Thomas (aka Simon from The Inbetweeners) and the gang could be heading for the big screen.
Chortle says the show's co-creator Sam Bain revealed the news at an industry event in London this week."I’ve done a lot of TV and I really love it but it’s good to have different challenges. We have been having chats about a Fresh Meat film and we’re working on a couple of ideas." he said.
Don't expect to see the film any time too soon though, they'll be taking their time to make sure it's done right. Bain even acknowledged that taking beloved TV characters and putting them on the big screen could be tricky. "We don't want it to feel like they've stopped being the characters from Fresh Meat, so it's a difficult balance to get right", he said.
Series 3 of Fresh Meat is due on our screens later this year, with a spin off series about life for female students post graduation in the works, apparently.
