Rejoice, Deadites - it's finally happening.
The long-awaited Evil Dead TV series is happening and, better still, Bruce Campbell is joining the series and it will be exec-produced by Sam Raimi.
Starz, which is the TV channel behind the Spartacus series and a few others, have ordered 10 half-hour episodes for 2015.
Raimi revealed at last year's ComicCon that he was working on a TV continuation of Evil Dead, having previously worked with Starz on the aforementioned Spartacus series.
Raimi has signed on to direct the pilot with his brother Ivan and will most likely drop in every so often to steer an episode or two.
The series, entitled Ash Vs. The Evil Dead, will be a direct sequel to Army of Darkness and see cult hero Ash return with his chainsaw arm and boomstick.
