The Skinner / Chalmers bit of 22 Short Films About Springfield is up there with some of The Simpsons' finest pieces of comedy writing.
It works off a pretty simple setup, but the fact that it's managed to stay relevant - and has even become a meme of sorts - just shows how smart and funny the bit is. One of its writer, Bill Oakley, shared the first draft on Twitter and, quite remarkably for a writer's room like The Simpsons, it's largely the same as the one we all saw so many years ago.
Take a look.
