'House of the Dragon' might have finished up last week, but there's another equally as dramatic HBO series in to take its place. And yes, there's even some dragons...
'The White Lotus' season two is streaming on Sky Atlantic and NOW in case you weren't already aware, introducing us to a new fresh batch of rich people embarking on a forgettable vacation. Read our spoiler-free review of the first five episodes here.
Episode one of the dramedy/mystery, entitled 'Ciao', began by letting us know that just like season one, this time around in Sicily there will be another death at the end of the hotel guests' stay in paradise. However, from what we hear at the beginning of the episode, there are multiple deaths this time around.
The opening credits of the second season also showed off another musical masterpiece from returning composer Cristobal Tapia De Veer, who somehow morphed the theme song into an Italian club banger.
Jennifer Coolidge, Jon Gries, Aubrey Plaza, Theo James, F. Murray Abraham, Michael Imperioli, Will Sharpe, Haley Lu Richardson, and Adam DiMarco round out the cast of this season's holidaymakers, while Simona Tabasco and Beatrice Grannò play a pair of locals and Sabrina Impacciatore plays the watchful hotel manager Valentina.
One of the, ahem, biggest talking points online following the episode's premiere yesterday was the uncomfortable moment shared between Aubrey Plaza's character Harper and her husband's friend Cameron, played by Theo James. Cameron's baggage, unfortunately, didn't make the trip over to Sicily, so he borrowed his friend's swimming shorts for a dip. The moment he went to change in the bedroom, while Harper pretended to busy herself in the toilet, just shows why we love this show so much - the awkwardness, the tension, the brashness of it all.

And finally, did you recognise that voice on the other side of the phone between Michael Imperioli's character Dominic and his wife? It was Academy Award winner Laura Dern screaming down the phone!
'The White Lotus' season two continues every Monday on Sky Atlantic and NOW.
