Last night saw the announcements made for Britain's Got Talent's semi-finalists and, sure enough, the singing priest from Meath - Fr. Ray Kelly - was among.
Fr. Kelly wowed judges, especially Simon Cowell who described his performance of REM's hit Everybody Hurts as his "favourite ever auditions, last month and was put through to last night's heats. Live shows are due to kick off tomorrow from 7.30PM, with Fr. Kelly already tipped as the third-favourite to win this year's series.
The ordained priest first shot to viral fame a number of years ago when a video of him singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah amassed close to 60,000,000 views in a matter of days. Fr. Kelly was even given a record deal, but was eventually dropped by the company after lagging sales of his debut album.
Here's the moment he made it through to the semi-finals.
