There's no doubt The Simpsons have provided ample worth of comedy gold over the years with some of the most quotable lines on television, however, one of the writers has revealed a missing scene that we really don't think should have been left on the cutting room floor.
It's from the sixth episode of the eighth season of The Simpsons when Millhouse's parents separate leading to his dad Kirk being fired from the cracker factory. Here's a reminder:
Writer Josh Weinstein has previously said that a few scenes had to be cut from the episode as it was too long but he has revealed on Twitter that the first draft showed what happened to Kirk directly after getting fired.
Ever wonder what happened to Kirk Van Houten right after he was fired from the cracker factory? From Steve Tompkins' hilarious 1st draft: pic.twitter.com/sYDSHcG36h

It sees him loading a box of crackers into a car until a bird suddenly swoops down and steals them, with Kirk shouting, "Nooo! My severance package!"
Now hopefully none of you will be getting fired anytime soon, but at least you know the joke you'll need in your back catalogue if you ever do.
