Believe it or not, The Shield ended SIX years ago and Michael Chiklis' career has seen ups and downs since then. It was announced last night by the show's creators at PaleyFest that Michael Chiklis would be joining the fourth season of American Horror Story, entitled Freak Show. The new series, which takes place in a carnival in 1950's Florida, will see Jessica Lange return as the matriarch of carnival freak show.
Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Frances Conroy and Kathy Bates are all lined up to return as acts that were "rescued" by Lange's character. Michael Chiklis will play Bates' ex-husband and Peters' father, but beyond that, no other information. Showrunner Ryan Murphy is notoriously tight-lipped when it comes to revealing plot details, but did mention that pretty much everyone from last season's run, including Jamie Brewer and Gabourney Sidibe are expected to return.
American Horror Story: Freak Show will be on Irish TV screens in the next year.
