We may all think it feels like an age each year until the next season of Game of Thrones, but to fans of the books, it's nothing compared to how long they have had to wait.
It's been five years since George RR Martin released the latest book in the series, A Dance with Dragons, and at this point the TV show has now gone ahead. However, as they have veered off from each other in recent years, fans still don't know how different Martin's version of events will be from showrunners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.
We may not have too much longer to wait to find out though, as Amazon France have put up on their website that The Winds of Winter, the sixth novel in the series, will be out in March 2017.
However, there has been no official confirmation yet from George RR Marton or his UK publisher Harper Collins, so this could have just been a glitch on Amazon... OR, they know something we don't.
Let's hope it's the latter.
