Following on from HBO's hack, it's now been confirmed that the fourth episode of the current season of Game of Thrones has been posted online by hackers.
The episode, ironically titled The Spoils Of War, was posted on Google Drive just under four hours ago and has been verified as genuine - albeit the file that's doing the rounds is a low-quality version. Close to 1.5 TB of data was stolen earlier this week in a hack that analysts are describing as far more extensive than 2015's Sony Hack.
However, sources speaking to The Verge have said that the episode posted online is not related to the HBO hack. This isn't the first time an episode of Game of Thrones has made its way online earlier than it was supposed to.
The first four episodes of Season 4 were posted online before release, whilst a HBO subsidiary posted an episode of Season 6 earlier than it was supposed to. The situation, in fact, became so dire for HBO that press screeners were halted from Season 6 onwards in an attempt to stop episodes making their way online.
HBO have so far released no comments on the leak.
