It's a long time coming, but at long last, there's some official footage for 'The Mandalorian' that's made its way online.
Set a couple a years after 'Return of the Jedi', the series follows a single bounty hunter - played by 'Game of Thrones' and 'Narcos' alum Pedro Pascal - after he's hired by a mysterious client to track and return a mysterious asset that will have huge consequences on the shifting balance of power in the galaxy.
If you liked how down and gritty 'Rogue One' was, you're in for a treat as 'The Mandalorian' looks to have that same vibe and looks almost like a spaghetti Western in some of its shots. Not only that, showrunner Jon Favreau has written and directed a number of episodes in the first season, with the likes of Taika Waititi and Bryce Dallas Howard stepping in for a few other episodes.
The production on 'The Mandalorian' looks that good that you'd never think it was a TV series, but then again, this is Disney and they're spending 'Game of Thrones'-levels of money on it.
For now, here's the first official trailer. And yes, that's actually noted German auteur director and big fan of Disney World Werner Herzog playing the creepy Imperial client at the end of the trailer.
