When it comes to filming movies and TV series our little green island on the edge of Europe is often one of the first ports of call, but we weren't exactly expecting to hear that the Kardashian clan wanted to come here and film for their ridiculously popular Reality TV series.
It souns like a wild rumour but believe it or not, The Irish Times is reporting that five family members and 13 crew were indeed due to fly in and shoot some footage at the newly renovated Bellingham Castle in Louth early next month. However, as the newspaper goes on to reveal, that most definitely ain't happening. For now, at least.
Now before you go getting upset about that lost opportunity to spot Kim and Kanye out shopping in Drogheda or Dundalk, you might want to hear what the staff at the Castle had to say. Co-manager Ciara Carolan said no names had been confirmed, and apparently Kim wouldn't have been among the err, brood descending upon the historic building.
And what would they have been up to in Ireland might you ask? A spot of leprechaun hunting perhaps? Tracking down th old homestead of some 26th cousin twice removed who is to thank for their Irish blood? Nah. Archery activites and falconry were top of the list apparently, and there was also a request for a horse and carriage.
Sounds like the authentic Irish experience to us now so it does.
