The internet went batshit crazy last night with rumours of a reunion episode of Friends, a new series and a reboot with an all new cast doing the rounds. StarMedia, a site that no one's ever heard of, posted a rambling incoherent story saying that NBC had reportedly confirmed a new season of the show in a 'comeback reunion', but that none of the actors had signed on yet.
And fortunately or unfortunately, depending on what side of the fence you sit on, rumours is exactly what they are, with one of the creators coming out and saying it's all BS.
Series co-creator Marta Kaufman told E! News that there's no truth to the rumours, which she learnt about from overhearing a random conversation in a bar. She also shot down any hopes for a movie, saying it wasn't on the cards, now or ever.
It's all a bit of wishful thinking really. The above image went viral last year and Chandler Bing himself had to shoot it down, while all the other cast members have frequently denied it's ever going to happen.
