Yesterday we had the hugely exciting news (it was, dammit) that Mr Daniel O'Donnell himself will be taking to the dance floor for the upcoming series of Strictly Come Dancing, and now we know when we can see him first in action.
The new series will launch Saturday September 5th on BBC1, with the opening show featuring a group performance from the celebrities and professionals, which so far also include Jeremy Vine, Ainsley Harriott, Kellie Bright, Georgia May Foote, Katie Derham, Carol Kirkwood and Peter Andre.
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman will be returning as hosts for the second year in a row while the opening show will also feature a performance by Jess Glynne as her debut album I Cry When I Laugh is out today.
So there you have it, September 5th, mark it in the diary Strictly fans!
