Next Wednesday when all of the trick-or-treating is over with, and the eating has begun, why not tune into the 'Samhain Live' festival on TG4, which will be broadcast on TV for the first time.
Presented by comedian Diona Doherty, Jerry Fish from Jerry Fish & The Mudbug Club, and local musician J.J. Ó Dochartaigh, 'Samhain Live' will transport you between worlds with live music, chat, behind the scenes, TV, Radio, and social media all broadcasting content from this world …and the other world!
Broadcasting on TG4 All Hallow's Eve, the Halloween festival will also air simultaneously on BBC 2 Northern Ireland and BBC Radio Ulster. 'Samhain' will be bringing you the very best of Irish music from Gavin James, Le Galaxie, Saint Sister, Declan O’Rourke, Wyvern Lingo, Roe, and of course Jerry himself.
Believe it or not, Derry City is the last walled city in Europe, and has been celebrating the ancient Celtic festival Samhain in a huge way since 1986. Each year, the festival gets bigger and better, scarier and spookier, and now the “City of Bones” will be broadcasting the festival live for everyone to see.
Tune into 'Samhain Live' on Halloween night from 9.30 to 11pm on TG4.
