Ahead of its penultimate episode tonight, we ran a poll to see just how entertainment.ie viewers felt about the much maligned season 2 of True Detective.
We included the poll in our piece about how this season was splitting audiences right down the middle, and over 1600 of you responded.
Interesting numbers. So despite the fact that the show is getting a critical drubbing, two thirds of our readers are still enjoying this season.
While opinions in the office have varied also, most people are actually liking it - especially last week's "orgy" episode and Colin Farrell's superb work.
It was always going to be difficult living up to last season, which was by no means perfect. But having Cary Fukunaga helm every episode, in retrospect, was an inspired idea. It gave the show a real consistency.
Regardless, we're looking forward to tonight's episode.
