There have been rumours in recent months that one of the very first UK reality TV shows Shipwrecked could be making a come back and today Channel 4 have confirmed it.
The reality series was one of the first of its kind and ran for three series until 2001 before it was it relaunched in 2006 with a new "battle of the islands" format which continued until 2012.
The original format was constructed as a social experiment, without a competitive format or prize. Fun fact, it was actually narrated by The Walking Dead star Andrew Lincoln.
The revamped show saw two teams competing with each other for new members, with the largest team winning a cash prize at the end. However, in 2012, the show returned to the original format.
This time round they are going back AGAIN to the two team set up - a camp will be set up on two rival islands: Shark Island and Tiger Island.
The two tribes will battle it out to be the largest, and the new 15-part series will incorporate secrets and hidden treasures as well as traps to shake things up a bit.
"These incredible islands are waiting to welcome the next generation of Tigers and Sharks," said Neale Simpson, Executive Producer, Fizz [the production company behind the show].
"Shipwrecked has always been known for its richly diverse and remarkable characters and we can't wait to meet the new islanders bringing hedonism, heroism, heart, and hilarity to our paradise island adventure."
Channel 4 has now confirmed that filming for the new series will begin this summer and it's set to air on E4. If you think you can handle it, you can now apply to take part.
