Right now, when the conventional (or traditional) news sources for politics are coming heavily under attack from the leader of the free world, people are looking more and more to lighter entertainment for a distraction and - in this case- an education.
Seth Meyers took on an increasingly erratic Donald Trump administration and called them out for distracting the public with smaller, silly lies, in order to hide the bigger, even more disturbing ones.
We say this a lot, but the importance of what Seth Meyers and to be fair, Stephen Colbert and Trevor Noah, are doing cannot be underestimated. This is social commentary with humour and Meyers is the best at it right now.
