HBO confirmed on Wednesday that the reunion special, hosted by Conan O'Brien, will feature exclusively on the complete 'Game of Thrones' seasons one to eight DVD box set. The set will hit shelves sometime in 2019, so at least you know what you're getting that 'GOT'-obsessed family member for Christmas next year.
Although all aspects of the show are tightly under wraps, it's been said that we'll see some familiar faces return to the screen together. Sean Bean, whose character Eddark Stark *spoiler* fails to make it past the first season, will hopefully be reuniting with his on-screen children Kit Harrington, Maisie Williams, and Richard Madden.
This isn't the first time Conan has hosted a 'Game of Thrones' reunion, if you'll remember. Back in 2015, the host had quite a lot of the cast (at the time) who were the main contenders in the series.
Next year's finale will feature six supersized episodes, including a battle scene that producers said took 55 days to shoot, and involved three different locations.
The final, eighth season of 'Game of Thrones' will air next April. The writer of the book series 'A Song of Ice and Fire,' George R. R. Martin recently made an appearance on Stephen Colbert's talk show with his new book. Unfortunately, the new book is not a continuation of the core series; fans are still anxiously waiting for 'The Winds of Winter' to get released.
