Yep, just in case any die hard fans were still holding out hope that we would one day see Buffy and the Scooby gang reunited in some new and shiny hellmouth somewhere, Sarah Michelle Gellar has said that nope, they are DONE.

With the likes of Veronica Mars coming back in a movie reboot format, it has plenty of folk putting the question to S.M.G about whether she would consider Buffy the Vampire Slayer ever going down that route, however the actress has pointed out that; "Buffy was [already] a movie. See, I think people forget that," she told US TV show Access Hollywood. "Buffy was a movie first, and I don’t know if you guys know this, but it didn’t really work!"

The  36 year old mother of two went on to say; "We spent our whole first year or two apologising for the movie. So, I think it would be an incredibly different pressure . . . Plus, I’m a little old now. I feel like Buffy would have a wooden stake walker. I’m not quite sure how that would work."

Too old? Hardly. She still looks like she could take on a vampire or two, no bother to her! Buffy ran for seven seasons until 2003, and it's true, it's took a while for the show to shake off the memory of that God-awful movie...

Oh but look, there's Luke Perry!

Joss Whedon's touch was all the show needed though, and at this stage it has pretty much graduated into cult classic TV.  Reckon some things are just better left untouched though, guess we'll just have to keep ourselves happy with all those FX reruns that are shown around the clock so.
